Dear Parent/Guardian:

In the event our schools close due to any issues related to the ongoing COVID- 19/coronavirus threat, the Port Chester School District has online resources available to students that teachers have posted through the “Google Classroom” platform.

Your child may be bringing home some resources in preparation for the POSSIBILITY of an extended school closing. [NOTE: Students are not to use these resources unless assigned by their classroom teachers.]

In the event of an extended school closing, students would be able to log into their “Google Classroom” on a device such as a laptop computer or smartphone and access these resources. (NOTE: students have been or will be instructed on how to access their assignments.)

If you have any questions regarding these assignments, please email your child’s teacher. Any other school related questions can be directed to your school’s main office.

From a home desktop or laptop:

  1. Go to Google.com

  2. Locate the sign-in button at the top right of the screen

  3. Log-in using the student’s username and the @portchesterschools.org domain (i.e.

    IvanT64215@portchesterschools.org) and password

  4. Access Google Classroom

From an Android/iPhone or iPad, download the Google Classroom App and follow steps 1-4 above.
