  • County Offers Free Vaccines to Students

    Westchester County Department of Health encourages parents/guardians to speak with their health care providers to see what, if any, vaccines are needed for the next school year.  For students who are unable to receive vaccines from their healthcare provider, the county Department of Health may be able to offer vaccines. Parents should call the Department at 995-5800 to see if their child is eligible and to schedule an appointment at one of the convenient immunization clinics in either White Plains or Yonkers.

School Budget Vote and Board of Education Election

The Budget Vote and Board of Education Election will be held on

May 15, 2018     -     7:00 AM - 9:00 PM

in the Port Chester Middle School Gymnasium

School district elections include voting for School Board candidates, school district budgets and school district referendums.  In order to vote in school district elections, you must be a registered voter.

If you are not already a registered voter,  information about registering to vote can be found below.

If you are a registered voter who cannot vote in person, information about obtaining and voting by Absentee Ballot is at the bottom of this page.

To Register for Port Chester School District Elections Only

Individuals who wish to vote only in district elections and who meet the voter criteria can register by reporting, in person, to the Central Administration Office at 113 Bowman Avenue by May 8, 2017. The District Clerk's office is available for registration during the following times:

  • Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays from 1:00 - 4:00 PM until May 8, 2017

  • 2:30 - 6:30 PM on Monday May 8, 2017

You must bring a photo identification and proof of residence.

Obtaining and Voting by Absentee Ballot for the May 16, 2017 Budget Vote and Board of Education Election

Step 1:  Get An Application for an Absentee Ballot

Applications for Absentee Ballots are available in the District Clerk's office located in the Central Administration Office at 113 Bowman Avenue on Mondays through Thursdays from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, and may be picked up by the voter or his/her representative. Applications can also be downloaded here.

  • The last day to apply by mail for an Absentee Ballot is Tuesday May 9, 2017.  Completed applications should be mailed to the District Clerk, Port Chester Schools, P.O. Box 246, Port Chester, NY 10573.

  • The last day to apply in person for an Absentee Ballot is Monday May 15, 2017

Step 2:  Receive and Submit an Absentee Ballot

Once the application is reviewed and accepted, an Absentee Ballot will be issued.  Completed and signed ballots may be mailed to the District Clerk, Port Chester Schools, P.O. Box 246, Port Chester, NY 10573, or they can be hand delivered by the voter or his/her representative to the District Clerk's Office at 113 Bowman Avenue.

In order for the ballot to be counted, it must be received in the District Clerk's office or dropped in the ballot box in the Port Chester Middle School gym no later than 5:00 PM on the day of the vote:  Tuesday May 16, 2017.
